The JWB, also known as The James Ward Band, is the most exciting new crossover band on the international jazz & world music scene. The JWB has honed and finessed their sound into a straight-up, new old school, featuring flavors of Latin and Jazz Fusion. The JWB released their second CD entitled “Groove Axis” on July 31, 2010. The new release received rave reviews and charted the Smooth Jazz and Groove Jazz Charts Nationwide. All That Jazz Radio of Nevada states: “Groove Axis is soulful, with a nice groove.” The JWB’s prior project “In Perspective” released in 2007 continues to sale and receive consistent radio air play on the smooth jazz stations even to this date. The JWB has headlined festivals including The Wine and Jazz Festival, Lee’s Summit Downtown Days, Jefferson City Jazz Fest, Grandview Music on Main, Parkville Days River Fest, and many other festivals.
